"What a gem of a find! Had to go off my route a little ways to get here, but glad I did. This is the CLEANEST motel/hotel I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot. It is older, but so well kept. And the owner is just a sweetheart. They are currently trying to sell so I hope whoever takes it over cares for it as well as this family has for the last 30 years. Bed was very comfy, water pressure was amazing. Room had a small table, recliner, fridge and microwave but no coffee pot or shampoo/conditioner, just bar soap and liquid have soap. Only negatives (and they didn’t bother me) you can hear the train, rock parking lot and the little window AC unit struggled to cool down the room, eventually it did but had to run non stop to keep it cool. Bottom line, I’d go out of my way again to stay here."

"I've stayed here twice, but it was over 10 years ago. The first time, I accidentally veered to I-76 instead of staying on I-80, but it was late, so I stopped off in Julesburg to see what was what. They answered the bell graciously and got me situated for a very reasonable price. The room had (hopefully still has) an awesome '40s tiled bathroom, everything was very clean and fairly quiet (I may have heard the train, but whatever--it adds ambience).
The next time I stayed, I called ahead at about 9pm and said I'd be in late, and they were very accommodating. They may have left the key for me or something--I really didn't want to disturb them! That time, I made the slight detour on purpose because they were so nice and the tilework was so cool!
Thank you, Holiday Motel!!! Maybe I'll see you again! (Though I really prefer I-90 to I-80; there were cops every 15 miles all the way across Nebraska last time I drove through!!!)"

"Pros:_1. Price, only $73.00 per night for two beds._2. Very quite on the weekends._3. Centrally located.__Cons:_1. Right next to the train tracks_2. Right next to highway 385.__We stayed here in a pinch as we made our way back home from Mount Rushmore to Oklahoma, we always travel the back roads to avoid road construction and traffic, plus you can just slow down, pull over and enjoy the scenery any time you want."
